BitMatch From Zeidman Consulting Finds Stolen

has just released BitMatchTM for finding
stolen source code by examining binary executable files.
BitMatch is integrated into CodeSuite, a suite of tools
for detecting software plagiarism, copyright infringement,
and other forms of intellectual property misappropriation.
BitMatch examines executable files for signs of copying.
CodeSuite also incorporates CodeMatch®, CodeDiffTM,
and FileIsolateTM and can generate detailed
reports and statistics spreadsheets.
CodeMatch uses sophisticated algorithms to compare source
code files to help pinpoint common source code in different
programs and has been successfully used in many intellectual
property disputes. It is now a de facto standard at many premiere
IP law firms throughout the country. CodeMatch requires access
to the source code from both parties in a dispute. How do
you even determine that your code has been taken before you
have such access?
That is where BitMatch comes into play. BitMatch uses the
same user interface and similar algorithms as CodeMatch to
compare your source code, or your executable files, against
the binary executable files from a suspected copier. BitMatch
cannot determine with the same certainty as CodeMatch, but
if it shows suspicious similarities, it is a sign that you
should move forward and take action.
