SAFE Corporation Offers Secure, Private Offices for Customers
CUPERTINO, CA (May 7, 2009) - Software Analysis &
Forensic Engineering Corporation (www.SAFE-corp.com),
the leading provider of tools for detecting and measuring
software intellectual property, has opened a new office
at 20863 Stevens Creek Lane, Suite #456, Cupertino,
California, the heart of Silicon Valley. The new office
includes a group of secure private offices for SAFE
customers needing a neutral location to analyze software.
"The majority of our customers are analyzing software
for intellectual property litigation and software tax
cases," said Bob Zeidman, president and founder
of SAFE Corporation. "These customers are under
court order to keep their client's proprietary software
in a secure location. Often consultants and expert witnesses
from one or both parties in litigation need a neutral
location to examine the software. We decided that leasing
offices in our new facility allows customers to focus
on their analysis rather than finding or setting up
a neutral and secure location."
Customers now get 24/7 access to private offices, private
vaults, and the use of computers running SAFE's patented
CodeSuite® software. Customers also get onsite customer
support and access to Safe's scalable CodeGrid®
supercomputer that speeds up performance of CodeSuite
on very large jobs.
CodeSuite is a collection of software forensic analysis
tools including BitMatch®, CodeCross®, CodeDiff®,
CodeMatch®, and SourceDetective®. CodeMatch
compares source code from two programs and pinpoints
areas of suspected copying. CodeDiff finds differences
in source code from programs that are nearly identical
and has been used to measure changes in software intellectual
property. BitMatch compares source code to executable
binary code to help find possible copying before litigation
is started. SourceDetective automatically searches the
Internet to determine whether matching code elements
in two different programs are unique or commonplace.
